An interior that captivates at first glance: a bold palette of currant red, saffron yellow, and English green lights up the space and transforms the gelateria into an immersive, almost theatrical space. The surfaces, a blend of lacquer, wood, and marble, are meticulously crafted, featuring graphic patterns and soft volumes that guide customers toward the counter, the beating heart of the experience.
Zava’s pendant lights, with their essential shapes and regular rhythm, descend from the ceiling like sinuous elements, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The counter, saffron with inset currant tiles, is grazingly lit to highlight the contrasting gloss/matte materials, inviting you to discover the flavors. The mirrored paneling, display niches, and the menu suspended above the glass wall overlooking the lab complete a coherent and contemporary visual narrative based entirely on the same graphic element, the “savoyard,” played out on multiple scales and with a variety of materials.
A refined and strongly identifying project, curated by Valentina Pelizzetti and Marco Gini, which transforms the ice cream shop into a sensory experience: not just a place to enjoy gelato, but a space to live, remember, and share.
